I mastermind, then go after mine.
A million dollars isn’t cool. You know what is? A billion.
But, in order to reach a billion dollar net worth, you must know the difference between chasing money and making money.
The difference between chasing a billion and making a billion is the idea and the follow through. You see, in order to make a billion, you must have a billion dollar idea and then be willing to follow through on that idea no matter what, no matter how long. Simply, wishing for money and then dabbling in various projects that you hope will yield large returns will rarely, if ever, net you that billionaire status.
Complaining about what you don’t have or who won’t “let” you, will certainly not get you there. In fact, it’s that limited thinking that will only confirm what you will never receive. I’m aware of disparities, disadvantages, obstacles and setbacks—I’m a young, African-American, gay woman, with no silver spoon—we don’t need to have that conversation. But what I do know, is that mind-over-matter is the most powerful mindset anyone, from any background, can arm themselves with.
Now, before you start with the whole, “money isn’t everything…” spiel, let me be clear on one thing: I know that and I completely agree. But you should know that the secret to most billionaires is not that they sat around hoping to make a billion, but that they were hit with an idea so great, they knew it was worth billions. See, I’d be willing to bet that if you were able to have a one-on-one conversation with a billionaire, you’d learn that the ability to turn an idea into a billion was far greater to them than simply having a billion. And it’s that small difference that represents chasing a billion and making a billion. It’s the knowing, even if others don’t understand or believe. It’s the vision, even when others can’t see.
No, I’m not writing this from my penthouse or multi-acreage estate. I’m speaking from a mind that has been gifted with vivid visions and billion dollar premonitions.
Everything that is going to unfold before your very eyes, in terms of my rise to the top, know that I saw long ago and was willing to trek on this tiresome, lonesome and hellacious journey, because I knew, what all others doubted (or possibly knew) and tried their damnedest to stop.
